This page will contain information about my upcoming public art classes. Public Art Classes may be at different locations throughout Ashtabula County & Northeast Ohio so please look at the class descriptions to see locations and registration information.
Some classes are for children and some classes are adult only, or are offered for both children and adults. Parents/Guardians are always welcome to stay during kids classes.
A few notes on registering for public classes:
Please make note of the location & time of the class you wish to attend. I offer classes at multiple different locations throughout Northeast Ohio and each location has different registration guidelines.
Please note that I DO NOT handle registration for ANY of my classes. Messaging/emailing/commenting to me specifically does NOT count as registering for a class, you must register as directed in the specific class descriptions through the venues that classes are offered at.
Please do not wait until last minute to sign up for classes you wish to take. Seating is generally limited in most classes. Also, if there is not enough sign ups to conduct a class within a few days of the class beginning, the class is usually cancelled or postponed.
Walk ins are generally not permitted in my classes unless specified. If you are not registered for class prior to the day of class, there will not be an open seat set up for you. I only set up for the number of registered participants. You will most likely not be able to participate UNLESS open seats are available due to no-shows AND I have enough supplies.
If you register for a class that you cannot attend or no longer wish to take, please contact the venue of where the class is being hosted for a refund. Each venue has different policies on timelines for refunds. If you register for a class and do not show up without attempting to contact the venue either via phone call, voicemail, email, social media, etc., you WILL NOT receive a refund for the class.
***MADDOX & FRIENDS PAINT PARTY FUNDRAISER ***
Join Maddox & Friends Cat Rescue for this fun Paint Party Fundraiser at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Conneaut, Ohio! Instructor Chris Davis will be guiding participants through this Black Cat painting step by step! Participants will be able to customize their paintings, using whatever colors they want for their background, customizing their pumpkin/jack-o-lantern to their liking, and may add as many black cats and pumpkins to their painting that they’d like! All supplies for the painting are provided, including 8x10 canvas. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be included but participants may bring their own snacks, drinks, alcoholic beverages, etc. if they wish.
Date: Class is Saturday October 18, 2025 at 1:00pm and will end around 4:00pm

Age: 18+ (21+ to have alcohol)

***SIP & PAINT AT BRANT’S APPLE ORCHARD***
Join Brant’s Apple Orchard for this fun Sunday afternoon sip and paint at Brant's Apple Orchard! Instructor Chris Davis will be walking participants step by step through this painting. This class is open to kids and adults, and would make for a great family time together! This is a beginner friendly project, no prior experience required! All supplies for the painting are provided, including 8x10canvas. Cider and Donuts also provided!
Date: Sunday October 19, 2024 at 2:00pm and will end between 4:00-5:00pm
Ages: Open to adults and children ages 5+ (children must be accompanied by an adult)

***AFTER SCHOOL DISCOVERY PAINT PARTY FUNDRAISER***
I’m very excited to announce this fundraiser that is very near and dear to me! Join After School Discovery for this winter themed paint party fundraiser benefiting After School Discovery programming within Ashtabula City Schools! I will be giving a step by step tutorial on this mitten and snowball themed design. Participants may customize their artwork to their liking, using whatever colors they wish. All supplies for the painting are provided, including 8x10 canvas. My tutorial is beginner friendly, no prior painting experience required. Class will take place at Cloven Hoof Brewing on Bridge Street. A bubbly drink is included with the ticket, and snacks are available to purchase.
Date: Monday November 3, 2025 at 6:00pm-8:00pm

Ages: 18+ (21 to drink) (Teenagers under the age of 18 are able to take the class if accompanied by a responsible adult who is also taking the class).

***MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE ART: THE LEAF THIEF***
Join Mr. Davis for this quick Saturday afternoon Art Party doing a picture of a squirrel! Participants may customize their art and use whatever colors they’d like for the entire project. Participants may also make their squirrels holding whatever objects they'd like. This class will utilize supplies such as Acrylic paints, markers, crayons, scissors, and glue! This class is open to all ages, kids and adults, and would make for a great family time together!
Date: Saturday November 22, 2025 at noon and will end between 1:00pm-1:30pm
Ages: Open to ALL ages, adults and kids. Children under 5 years old MUST have a parent/guardian accompanying them to assist.

***PENGUIN FAMILY DRAWING/PAINTING WINTER WORKSHOP***
Join Chris Davis for this two part drawing & acrylic painting workshop. In this class, Chris Davis will be demonstrating how to sketch and paint a picture of a family of penguins. These are fully customizable and participants may have as many or as few penguins as they wish, may use whatever colors for the entire project, and may customize their signs, backgrounds, etc. All supplies for the entire class will be provided, including participants choice of 16x20 Canvas or a large piece of slate. This is a beginner friendly workshop and no prior experience is required. You must attend both sessions to complete the project.
Dates: Mondays December 1 & 8, 2025 from 6:00-8:00pm
Ages: 18+ (teenagers age 13+ may attend class if accompanied by an adult)
