This page will contain information about my upcoming public art classes. Public Art Classes may be at different locations throughout Ashtabula County & Northeast Ohio so please look at the class descriptions to see locations and registration information.
Some classes are for children and some classes are adult only, or are offered for both children and adults. Parents/Guardians are always welcome to stay during kids classes.
A few notes on registering for public classes:
Please make note of the location & time of the class you wish to attend. I offer classes at multiple different locations throughout Northeast Ohio and each location has different registration guidelines.
Please note that I DO NOT handle registration for ANY of my classes. Messaging/emailing/commenting to me specifically does NOT count as registering for a class, you must register as directed in the specific class descriptions through the venues that classes are offered at.
Please do not wait until last minute to sign up for classes you wish to take. Seating is generally limited in most classes. Also, if there is not enough sign ups to conduct a class within a few days of the class beginning, the class is usually cancelled or postponed.
Walk ins are generally not permitted in my classes unless specified. If you are not registered for class prior to the day of class, there will not be an open seat set up for you. I only set up for the number of registered participants. You will most likely not be able to participate UNLESS open seats are available due to no-shows AND I have enough supplies.
If you register for a class that you cannot attend or no longer wish to take, please contact the venue of where the class is being hosted for a refund. Each venue has different policies on timelines for refunds. If you register for a class and do not show up without attempting to contact the venue either via phone call, voicemail, email, social media, etc., you WILL NOT receive a refund for the class.

Join Chris Davis for this groovy lava lamp themed painting step by step! This painting is fully customizable and participants may use whatever colors and designs they would like. All supplies for the painting are provided, including 8x10 canvas. This class is open to all ages and would make for a great family time together! This is a beginner friendly class, no prior experience required!
Date: Friday August 22, 2025 at 6:00pm and will end around 8:00pm

***KIDS ART CLASS: CHALK PASTEL LIGHTNING BUGS***
Join Mr. Davis for this quick Saturday morning chalk pastel class! Participants will learn how to use chalk pastels to create this glowing lightning bug picture! All supplies for the class are provided. This class is open to all ages, kids and adults, and would make for a great family time together! This is a beginner friendly project, no prior experience required!
Date: Saturday August 30, 2025 at 11:30am and will most likely end before 12:30pm

***KIDS ART CLASS: YOU CAN DRAW A TOUCAN!***
Join Mr. Davis for this quick Saturday afternoon drawing class! Participants will learn how to look at an image and break it into basic shapes to reproduce as a sketch, using a Toucan image as the reference. Participants will also learn different crayon coloring techniques. Participants may customize their art and use whatever colors they’d like for the entire project. Participants will be encouraged to customize their toucans to be unique, maybe adding accessories or clothing! All supplies for the class are provided. This class is open to all ages, kids and adults, and would make for a great family time together! This is a beginner friendly project, no prior experience required!

Join Chris Davis for this Dinosaur sunset themed painting step by step! This painting is customizable and participants may alter their dinosaurs if they wish. All supplies for the painting are provided, including 8x10 canvas. This class is open to all ages and would make for a great family time together! This is a beginner friendly class, no prior experience required!
Date: Saturday September 6, 2025 at noon and will end around 1:30pm

***OWL MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE ART ***
Join Chris Davis for this quick Saturday afternoon Art Party doing a picture of an owl on a branch! Participants may customize their art and use whatever colors and designs they’d like for the entire project. Different owl reference images will be provided and all supplies for the class are provided. This class will utilize supplies such as Acrylic paints, watercolor paints, markers, crayons, scissors, and glue! This class is open to all ages, kids and adults, and would make for a great family time together!
Date: Saturday September 6, 2025 at 2:00 and will end between 3:00pm-4:00pm
Ages: Open to ALL ages, adults and kids. Children under 5 years old MUST have a parent/guardian accompanying them to assist.

***PAINTING AT DUSK: BIRDHOUSE ON SLATE***
Join Chris Davis for this bird and birdhouse painting step by step! Participants may paint whatever bird(s) they would like and may customize their colors. All supplies for the painting are provided, including Slate that measures approximately 14x22 (other sizes may also be available, as well as 11x14 canvas if canvas is preferred). Feel free to bring snacks and wine! This is a beginner friendly class, no prior experience required! Participants may also bring reference photos of birds if they want to paint a specific one!
Date: Monday September 8, 2025 at 6pm and will end between 8pm-9pm
Ages: 18+ (21 to drink) (Teenagers under the age of 18 are able to take the class if accompanied by a responsible adult who is also taking the class).
Cost: $35 ($32 for CAC Members).

Join Chris Davis for this easy Snoopy themed painting step by step! Participants may customize their colors if they wish and may add words such as “Welcome”, etc. All supplies for the painting are provided, including Slate that measures approximately 14x22 (other sizes may also be available, as well as 11x14 canvas if canvas is preferred). Feel free to bring snacks and wine! This is a beginner friendly class, no prior experience required!

***FALL THEMED PAINT PARTY AT MARGARITA KING***
Join Margarita King and instructor Chris Davis for our third paint class at Margarita King in Geneva, OH! This is a step by step paint class and participants may customize their background colors and may customize their pumpkins. All supplies for the painting are provided, including 8x10 canvas.
A Taco Bar is also included as well as participants choice of a Margarita or glass of wine (or soft drink)!
Date: Class is Wednesday, September 24, 2025 starting at 5pm and will end around 8pm

Join Chris Davis for this fun Sunday afternoon Art Party making X-Ray hands! Participants will learn the steps to free-draw a skeletal hand and use oil pastels and chalk pastels to complete the project. Participants may use whatever colors they’d like. All supplies for the class are provided. This class is open to kids and adults, and would make for a great family time together! This is a beginner friendly project, no prior experience required!
Date: Sunday September 28, 2025 at noon and will end around 1:30pm-2:00pm
Ages: 7+

***VALUE SCALE GHOST COLLAGE***
Join Mr. Davis for this fun Sunday afternoon painting class making ghosts holding pumpkins! Participants will learn how to use acrylic paints to make a value scale using black and white paint in the the form of a ghost. Participants will also learn how to make a value scale of a pumpkin by using a color of their choice. This class focuses on how to properly mix paints to achieve different values of a color. This class utilizes supplies such as acrylic paints, markers, scissors, and glue. All supplies for the class are provided. This class is open to kids and adults, and would make for a great family time together! This is a beginner friendly project, no prior experience required!

***RELAY FOR LIFE FUNDRAISER: FALL DOOR HANGER PAINT PARTY***
Join Chris Davis for this paint party fundraiser supporting team ACMC for Relay for Life! For this class, we will be painting 12 inch round wooden door hangers! Participants may either follow along with Chris Davis to create a pumpkin/Jack-o-lantern themed design, using whatever colors they’d like OR paint whatever imagery they’d like on their door hanger. All supplies for the painting are provided, including wooden door hanger.
*Please note that Chris Davis will be giving a step by step tutorial on the pumpkin themed designs shown in the photos and may not be able to individually help each participant who is doing their own designs and NOT following Chris’ tutorial.
Chris’ tutorial is beginner friendly, no prior painting experience required. Only one design can be done per person.
Date: Saturday October 11, 2025 at 10:30am - 1:30pm
Ages: 18+ (children are welcome to attend and paint but must be accompanied by an adult)
Cost: early bird special $25 if paid by Sept. 12, after that it is $30

***MADDOX & FRIENDS PAINT PARTY FUNDRAISER ***
Join Maddox & Friends Cat Rescue for this fun Paint Party Fundraiser at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Conneaut, Ohio! Instructor Chris Davis will be guiding participants through this Black Cat painting step by step! Participants will be able to customize their paintings, using whatever colors they want for their background, customizing their pumpkin/jack-o-lantern to their liking, and may add as many black cats and pumpkins to their painting that they’d like! All supplies for the painting are provided, including 8x10 canvas. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be included but participants may bring their own snacks, drinks, alcoholic beverages, etc. if they wish.
Date: Class is Saturday October 18, 2025 at 1:00pm and will end around 4:00pm
Cost: $35
Age: 18+ (21+ to have alcohol)
