This page will contain information about my upcoming public art classes. Public Art Classes may be at different locations throughout Ashtabula County & Northeast Ohio so please look at the class descriptions to see locations and registration information.
Some classes are for children and some classes are adult only, or are offered for both children and adults. Parents/Guardians are always welcome to stay during kids classes.
A few notes on registering for public classes:
Please make note of the location & time of the class you wish to attend. I offer classes at multiple different locations throughout Northeast Ohio and each location has different registration guidelines.
Please note that I DO NOT handle registration for ANY of my classes. Messaging/emailing/commenting to me specifically does NOT count as registering for a class, you must register as directed in the specific class descriptions through the venues that classes are offered at.
Please do not wait until last minute to sign up for classes you wish to take. Seating is generally limited in most classes. Also, if there is not enough sign ups to conduct a class within a few days of the class beginning, the class is usually cancelled or postponed.
Walk ins are generally not permitted in my classes unless specified. If you are not registered for class prior to the day of class, there will not be an open seat set up for you. I only set up for the number of registered participants. You will most likely not be able to participate UNLESS open seats are available due to no-shows AND I have enough supplies.
If you register for a class that you cannot attend or no longer wish to take, please contact the venue of where the class is being hosted for a refund. Each venue has different policies on timelines for refunds. If you register for a class and do not show up without attempting to contact the venue either via phone call, voicemail, email, social media, etc., you WILL NOT receive a refund for the class.

Join Beebe’s Bistro for an afternoon of painting, food, and drinks! Instructor Chris Davis will guide participants step by step through this beach themed painting. The painting is customizable so each participant can use their choice of colors and may modify their painting to their liking. This is a beginner friendly class and no prior experience is required. All supplies for the class are provided, including 11x14 canvas. Also included: a specialty drink and a tipsy taco bar!
Date: Saturday July 19, 2025 at 3:00pm and will end at 5:00pm
Ages: 18+ (teenagers 13+ may attend if accompanied by an adult participant)
Cost: $60 (this includes the paint class, specialty drink, and the tipsy taco bar)

***MUSHROOM MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE ART ***
Join Chris Davis for this quick Monday evening Art Party doing a collage of mushrooms and butterflies! Participants may customize their art and use whatever colors and designs they’d like for the entire project. All supplies for the class are provided. This class will utilize supplies such as watercolor paints, markers, crayons, scissors, and glue! This class is open to all ages, kids and adults, and would make for a great family time together! This is a beginner friendly project, no prior experience required!
Date: Monday July 28, 2025 at 6:00pm and will end around 8:00pm
Ages: Open to ALL ages, adults and kids. Children under 5 years old MUST have a parent/guardian accompanying them to assist.

***STILL LIFE ARTWORK WITH ACRYLIC PAINT***
Join Chris Davis for this three session acrylic painting course. This course is designed for adults and teenagers. Students will create their own still life painting of whatever objects they’d like. There will be a basic drawing component of this course where topics such as composition will be covered. This course will also demonstrate acrylic painting techniques such as color mixing, blending, layering, washes, and dry brushing to achieve different results and textures. All supplies for the entire class will be provided, including participants choice of 11x14 Canvas or slate. Participants may bring their own canvas if they wish to use a different size. This is a beginner friendly course and no prior experience is required. All three sessions must be attended in order to complete the painting.
*Participants should bring objects or images they’d like to use as reference for this class.

***WALKING WITH MEMPHIS FUNDRAISER***
Join Walking with Memphis Dog Rescue at 2 Tees in a Pod for this fun Paint Pawty Fundraiser led by instructor Chris Davis! Chris will be guiding participants through their own dog silhouette painting step by step! Participants will be able to customize their paintings to their liking, having as many or as few dogs in their painting as they’d like, and Chris will demonstrate how to paint silhouettes of multiple different dog breeds. Participants may also use whatever colors they want for their background and Chris will show different techniques for background items such as trees, clouds, etc. All supplies for the painting are provided, including 8x10 canvas. This is a beginner friendly class, no prior painting experience required.
Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be included but participants may bring their own snacks, drinks, alcoholic beverages, etc. if they wish.
Date: Sunday August 10, 2025 at 2:00pm and will end around 5:00pm

Join Mr. Davis for this quick Saturday morning chalk pastel class! Participants will learn how to use chalk pastels to create this glowing lightning bug picture! All supplies for the class are provided. This class is open to all ages, kids and adults, and would make for a great family time together! This is a beginner friendly project, no prior experience required!

***KIDS ART CLASS: YOU CAN DRAW A TOUCAN!***
Join Mr. Davis for this quick Saturday afternoon drawing class! Participants will learn how to look at an image and break it into basic shapes to reproduce as a sketch, using a Toucan image as the reference. Participants will also learn different crayon coloring techniques. Participants may customize their art and use whatever colors they’d like for the entire project. Participants will be encouraged to customize their toucans to be unique, maybe adding accessories or clothing! All supplies for the class are provided. This class is open to all ages, kids and adults, and would make for a great family time together! This is a beginner friendly project, no prior experience required!

Participants may customize their art and use whatever colors and designs they’d like for the entire project. Different owl reference images will be provided and all supplies for the class are provided. This class will utilize supplies such as Acrylic paints, watercolor paints, markers, crayons, scissors, and glue! This class is open to all ages, kids and adults, and would make for a great family time together!

Join Chris Davis for this bird and birdhouse painting step by step! Participants may paint whatever bird(s) they would like and may customize their colors. All supplies for the painting are provided, including Slate that measures approximately 14x22 (other sizes may also be available, as well as 11x14 canvas if canvas is preferred). Feel free to bring snacks and wine! This is a beginner friendly class, no prior experience required! Participants may also bring reference photos of birds if they want to paint a specific one!

***VALUE SCALE GHOST COLLAGE***
Join Mr. Davis for this fun Sunday afternoon painting class making ghosts holding pumpkins! Participants will learn how to use acrylic paints to make a value scale using black and white paint in the the form of a ghost. Participants will also learn how to make a value scale of a pumpkin by using a color of their choice. This class focuses on how to properly mix paints to achieve different values of a color. This class utilizes supplies such as acrylic paints, markers, scissors, and glue. All supplies for the class are provided. This class is open to kids and adults, and would make for a great family time together! This is a beginner friendly project, no prior experience required!
