This page will contain information about my upcoming public art classes. Public Art Classes may be at different locations throughout Ashtabula County & Northeast Ohio so please look at the class descriptions to see locations and registration information.
Some classes are for children and some classes are adult only, or are offered for both children and adults. Parents/Guardians are always welcome to stay during kids classes.
A few notes on registering for public classes:
Please make note of the location & time of the class you wish to attend. I offer classes at multiple different locations throughout Northeast Ohio and each location has different registration guidelines.
Please note that I DO NOT handle registration for ANY of my classes. Messaging/emailing/commenting to me specifically does NOT count as registering for a class, you must register as directed in the specific class descriptions through the venues that classes are offered at.
Please do not wait until last minute to sign up for classes you wish to take. Seating is generally limited in most classes. Also, if there is not enough sign ups to conduct a class within a few days of the class beginning, the class is usually cancelled or postponed.
Walk ins are generally not permitted in my classes unless specified. If you are not registered for class prior to the day of class, there will not be an open seat set up for you. I only set up for the number of registered participants. You will most likely not be able to participate UNLESS open seats are available due to no-shows AND I have enough supplies.
If you register for a class that you cannot attend or no longer wish to take, please contact the venue of where the class is being hosted for a refund. Each venue has different policies on timelines for refunds. If you register for a class and do not show up without attempting to contact the venue either via phone call, voicemail, email, social media, etc., you WILL NOT receive a refund for the class.
***RED, WHITE, AND BOOM OVER LAKE ERIE PAINT PARTY FUNDRAISER***
Join Instructor Chris Davis for this paint party fundraiser with proceeds benefitting the Red, White, and Boom over Lake Erie Festival!
Chris will be guiding participants step by step through this patriotic painting of the Conneaut Lighthouse and Fireworks celebrating America's 250th! Participants may customize their paintings to their liking and use different colors, etc. if they wish. All supplies for the painting are provided, including 11x14 canvas. Raffle baskets will also be available. Participants may bring their own snacks, drinks, alcoholic beverages, etc.
This is a beginner friendly class, no prior experience is required. Chris Davis will demonstrating the techniques to create the full painting and will be able to assist participants if needed.
Date: Class is Sunday March 15, 2026 at 2:00pm and the event will end around 5:30pm
Cost: $50 per person
Age: 18+ (teenagers and children age 5+ may participate but must be accompanied by an adult who is also participating.)

***PAINT PARTY: BUNNY IN BASKET***
Join Chris Davis for this Spring themed bunny and basket painting step by step! This painting is fully customizable and participants may use whatever colors they would like for the entire picture. Participants in this class will learn how to create this painting from a blank canvas, including techniques on freehand sketching a basic composition and will utilize acrylic painting techniques such as color layering, blending, and mixing.
All supplies for the painting are provided, including 8x10 canvas! This is a beginner friendly class, no prior experience required! This class is open to adults and children age 5+ and would make for fun family time together!
Date: Saturday March 21, 2026 at noon and will end around 2:00-2:30pm
Ages: 18+ (Children age 5+ are able to take the class if accompanied by a responsible adult who is also taking the class).
Cost: $25 ($22 for CAC Members).

***GUIDED PAINTING: RAIN BOOTS & SUNFLOWERS***
Join Chris Davis for this Spring themed rain boots and sunflowers painting step by step! This painting is fully customizable and participants may use whatever colors they would like for the entire picture. Participants in this class will learn how to create this painting from a blank canvas and will learn techniques on sketching the basic composition of this picture as well as techniques on painting different textures such as wood tones, grass, flowers, and adding shadows and glare to shiny objects. This lesson focuses on acrylic painting techniques such as color layering, blending, and mixing.
All supplies for the painting are provided, including participants choice of 11x14 canvas or Slate (if available). Feel free to bring snacks and wine! This is a beginner friendly class, no prior experience required!
Date: Friday March 27, 2026 at 6pm and will end around 8-9pm
Ages: 18+ (21 to drink) (Teenagers under the age of 18 are able to take the class if accompanied by a responsible adult who is also taking the class).
Cost: $35 ($32 for CAC Members).

***RELAY FOR LIFE FUNDRAISER: SPRING DOOR HANGER PAINT PARTY***
Join Chris Davis for this paint party fundraiser supporting team ACMC for Relay for Life! For this class, we will be painting 12 inch round wooden door hangers! Participants may either follow along with Chris Davis to create a Daisy and Ladybug themed design, using whatever colors they’d like OR paint whatever imagery they’d like on their door hanger. Participants may write whatever they’d like on their paintings. All supplies for the painting are provided, including wooden door hanger (discount available if you bring your own 12 inch wooden door hanger)
*Please note that Chris Davis will be giving a step by step tutorial on the daisy/ladybug themed designs shown in the photo and may not be able to individually help each participant who is doing their own designs and NOT following Chris’ tutorial.
Chris’ tutorial is beginner friendly, no prior painting experience required.
Date: Saturday April 11, 2026 at 10:30am - 1:30pm
Ages: 18+ (children are welcome to attend and paint but must be accompanied by an adult)
Cost: early bird special $25 if paid by March 27, after that it is $30. Participants who bring their door hanger from the Fall Session to paint the Spring design on the back side will receive a $5 discount.

***AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY DOOR HANGER PAINT PARTY FUNDRAISER***
Join The American Legion Auxiliary for this Spring themed paint party fundraiser! Instructor Chris Davis will be giving a step by step tutorial on this flower and umbrella themed design on 12 inch wood door hanger! Participants may customize their artwork to their liking, using whatever colors they wish, and writing whatever they wish. All supplies for the painting are provided, including a 12 inch round door hanger. Chris’ tutorial is beginner friendly, no prior painting experience required.
Light refreshments are provided but participants may BYOB
Date: Saturday April 18, 2026 at 5:00pm-8:00pm
Cost: $40
